Ungarra Community Cafe

The Ungarra cafe is open Mondays from 12-2pm, and Fridays from 9.30-11.30am, in the Ungarra Hall at 21 Goodes Road.

The Ungarra Community Cafe was established at the beginning of 2015 by Miriam and Eden Telfer (pictured below).

With support from the local church, a cafe seemed to be a great way to provide locals and community members with a place to meet together and support each other. Whether it be playgroup mums, local farmers, or town members, having a space to meet with affordable food and good quality coffee was the goal. Any profit that was raised was donated towards local community groups and overseas projects.

Now, nearly 10 years later, there are a whole range of people that volunteer their time to work in the cafe, as well as many others on the cake baking roster.

The cafe provides the opportunity for local community groups to come in and work in the cafe as a fundraiser, with all profits from the day going to the community group.
